Mapping the Interior, the 2017 novella from New York Times bestselling and Bram Stoker Award-winning horror author Stephen Graham Jones (The Only Good Indians, My Heart is a Chainsaw), is getting a brand new reissue and cover next month from Tor Nightfire.
Upon release, Mapping the Interior was shortlisted for both a Shirley Jackson Award and World Fantasy Award, and won the 2017 Bram Stoker Award for Long Fiction. A logline reads:
Times have been tough for twelve-year-old Junior, his mom, and especially for his younger brother Dino. When his dad makes a surprise visit late one night, Junior is desperate to make him part of their family again. The only problem is Dad drowned eight years ago.
And bringing back the dead always comes at a cost…
Back on October 1, officially known as Stephen Graham Jones Day, Open Road Integrated Media republished six out-of-print Jones titles, including Zombie Bake-Off (2012), The Long Trial of Nolan Dugatti (2008), and Three Miles Past (2012).
Mapping the Interior‘s reissue goes on-sale on April 29, 2025 via Tor Nightfire, and you can check out the new cover below. Further information can be found at Macmillan Publishers.
