We’re an independent online horror and entertainment magazine dedicated to the films, television shows, books, creators and stories that keep audiences looking over their shoulders.
From legendary horror classics and cult favourites to emerging independent filmmakers and the latest genre releases, Dark Frights explores the terrifying, the mysterious and the wonderfully macabre through original articles, interviews, reviews, news and features.
Whether you’re a lifelong horror fanatic or just discovering the darker side of entertainment, there’s always something waiting for you in the shadows.
Meet the Horror Master — Jimmy Star
Behind Dark Frights is Jimmy Star, our editor-in-chief and the driving force behind the magazine.
Jimmy is an entertainment personality, producer and media host, best known as co-host of The Jimmy Star Show with Ron Russell.
Billed as the #1 film interview podcast in the United States on Apple Podcasts, with more than 1.3 billion streams and downloads, the show has become a prominent platform for conversations with actors, directors, filmmakers, musicians and entertainment personalities.
Through his work in entertainment and media, Jimmy has developed a passion for celebrating creative talent, from established Hollywood names to independent artists making their mark.
As the magazine’s Horror Master, Jimmy brings that experience and enthusiasm to Dark Frights, helping shape its editorial direction and spotlighting the people, productions and stories that make horror such a fascinating genre.
His mission is to bring readers closer to the creative minds behind the scares while celebrating horror in all its forms.
