Good news, horror gamers: a Death Note video game could be right around the corner, with Gematsu reporting today that the Taiwan Digital Game Rating Committee have officially rated an unannounced Death Note game for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 via Bandai Namco. Gematsu report that the title, translated from Traditional Chinese, reads as Death Note: Shadow Mission, but that it’s more likely the official English title will be Death Note: Killer Within, as this name was trademarked by Shueisha Games (the gaming arm of Death Note’s publishing house) earlier this year. AMC is in early development on the new horror series “Gothictown”,  a series adaptation of an upcoming horror novel from author Emily Carpenter. Per Deadline, Abby Ajayi will serve as showrunner, writer, and executive producer. As we previously reported at the beginning of the year, Kevin Ko’s terrifying found-footage horror Incantation was being developed as an indie video game by Taiwanese company Softstar Entertainment – and you can now play the brand new demo, if you’re brave enough.
