Coming next year from Slasher 15 Productions, the 2021 horror movie Bloody Summer Camp gets a sequel with Bloody Summer Camp 2: Red Horizon, and Bloody Disgusting has been exclusively provided with the official trailer this morning. Slice back into summer camp below.
Joe Bob Briggs, Diana Prince and Felissa Rose travel back to 1994 in this first official trailer for Dave Kerr’s summer camp slasher sequel, Bloody Summer Camp 2: Red Horizon.
The upcoming sequel follows Teddy (Joe Bob Briggs) and Vince (Nathan Baesel), a father/son duo that reopens the camp from the first film under a new name.
Their first year is a success but as they’re closing up the camp for the season, one by one counselors begin to go missing. Ms. Crowell (Felissa Rose) is convinced the camp killer Devilface is back but the new owners don’t share her concern. With no one else to turn to, Ms. Crowell seeks out help from the only one who believes her: disgraced former sheriff Roman Wilmore (Dave Sheridan). Can they stop Camp Red Horizon from suffering the same fate?
Dave Kerr said in a statement to Bloody Disgusting this week, “Bloody Sumer Camp was a passion project for me. Once we saw that there was a fanbase there that wanted a sequel, I began brainstorming on different directions we could take the film. We toyed with keeping it in the ’80s and even taking it out of the camp setting but in the end, bringing the sequel into the ’90s just felt like the right decision. We knew we wanted to bring Dave and Felissa back to reprise their characters from the first film and I wanted someone icon to play the role of Teddy. Joe Bob has been someone I’ve wanted to work with for years and we got to work with Diana Prince on our last film so we were excited to get both of them in this film.”
Nathan Baesel, who played Leslie Vernon in Behind the Mask (2006), will co-star!
Bloody Summer Camp 2: Red Horizon is currently in post production and it’s expected to be released sometime in late 2025. Stay tuned for updates as we learn more about the film.
