Gothic Horror Film ‘The Monster Beneath Us’ Trailer with Becca Hirani

“There is no one in the basement!” Or is there? An official trailer has debuted for an indie horror film from the UK called The Monster Beneath Us, the latest from filmmaker Sophie Osbourne. This first premiered at FrightFest in the UK a few months ago, and will be out on VOD in the US to watch in January 2025. This gothic horror is set in Yorkshire, 1898. A grieving woman and her son move back to the unoccupied house of her ex husband, recently found dead, but they discover that they are not alone inside the house. Her young son mentions he has a new friend who lives in the basement of their sprawling country estate. However, as the boy spends more time in the dark, cold space under the house, her concern begins to turn in to fear… Starring Becca Hirani, Marshall Hawkes, and Nicola Wright. Ohh yeah there’s definitely something spooky hanging out in that basement. Maybe it’s the ex husband? Or someone he tortured? What can it be…

However, as the boy spends more time in the dark, cold space under the house, her concern begins to turn to fear. The Monster Beneath Us is written and directed by the British filmmaker Sophie Osbourne (aka Sophie Storm K), also director of the films Pterodactyl and Summoning Bloody Mary 2 previously. It’s produced by Becca Hirani & Edward Lui. This initially premiered at FrightFest 2024 earlier this year.
