Happy Terrifier 3 week to all who celebrate! To mark the occasion of the release of Damien Leone’s hyper gory slasher sequel, rockers Ice Nine Kills have released their new short film/music video for the song A Work of Art online following last night’s debut at over 300 theaters.
The new blood-soaked 15-minute cut released today features a full extra 7 minutes of gore and debauchery, as Art the Clown wreaks havoc at an INK concert.
As well as Art himself, David Howard Thornton, the video also stars some familiar Terrifier family faces, including Catherine Corcoran (Terrifier) and Leah Voysey (Terrifier 2). Also making cameos are Sirius XM’s Jose Mangin and Vincent Rockwell, Richard Christy (drummer for Death, Control Denied, and Charred Walls of the Damned), and System of a Down’s Shavo Odadjian.
The NSFW (and NSFL, to be honest) music video was directed by longtime INK collaborator Jensen Noe, with eye-watering special effects from Academy Award-winner Christopher Nelson (American Horror Story, Halloween 2018, Suicide Squad, Kill Bill).
Frontman Spencer Charnas had this to say of Ice Nine Kills’ latest cinematic victory:
“The Terrifier franchise gave us Art the Clown, the greatest new horror icon in decades […] We are beyond honored by the invitation to play within the viciously delightful universe Damien Leone and his incredible team have created. The Art and INK fanbases are one and the same, and we heard the screams for this collaboration loud and clear.”
Already banned for under-18s in France and racking up more than a few reports of pukes and faints, it looks like the Christmas-set Terrifier 3 could well be the most controversial film in the franchise.
The film sees Lauren LaVera return, alongside Thornton, as Sienna, with Samantha Scaffadi as Victoria Heyes and Elliot Fullam also returning as Sienna’s little brother Jonathan.
After surviving Art the Clown’s Halloween massacre, Sienna and her brother are struggling to rebuild their shattered lives. As the holiday season approaches, they try to embrace the Christmas spirit and leave the horrors of the past behind. But just when they think they’re safe, Art the Clown returns, determined to turn their holiday cheer into a new nightmare. The festive season quickly unravels as Art unleashes his twisted brand of terror, proving that no holiday is safe.
As if today’s video wasn’t enough of a treat for fans, to commemorate A Work of Art, Ice Nine Kills have dedicated their monthly Nightmare On The Ninth merch capsule to the collaboration with a collection of officially licensed items (seen below, under the video!)
Terrifier 3 hits theaters on October 11. You can find more exclusive Terrifier content in FANGORIA Vol. 2 Issue 25.
